Food tech Reflection 1HCG

Last week my group made crepes and empanadas, how that started was we prepared our vegetables for the empanadas , and cooked our  meat in the pan with oil. We then threw in some seasonings and flour so once those were fragrant we added in our tomato puree and other vegetables. This is our filling.

on the side we made dough and let that sit for about an hour before we rolled it out with some flour and shaped it into our empanada shape. we filled them up with our filling after letting it cool and put them on a baking tray with some baking paper , brushed it with some milk and threw those into the oven.

Four our crepes we started with making our batter in a bowl and whisking it all together. Crepes are similar to making pancakes but the trick is your thinning it out so you can maybe roll it up, layer it, fill it or just eat it as it is. We cooked ours in a lightly oiled pan and quickly thinned it out the entire pan and let it cook for about 20 seconds, we then put them on a plate to put toppings on! We had caramalized bananas and mascarpone with vanilla essence and sugar in it on top.

We took out the empanadas and served those up with our crepes and we ate it all up ,it was super delicious 10/10 would eat again.
